NBC's The New Normal

One of my new favorite shows is The New Normal on NBC.

Along with an amazing cast and creative writers, this show is hilariously funny, yet a reminder of the prejudices that sometimes live within us all. 

I am always wowed and amazed by the beautiful interior of this set's home. 


Absolutely love, love, love the rug! And that sofa!!!  A perfect mix of vintage and modern!!!

 

The mosaic tiles on the counter are absolutely stunning in the kitchen...

Love the old world charm of David and Bryan's bedroom...

A Night Out with a New Friend

Hey guys!

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!!!  It was so great to see the sunshine again after all the rain! 

I had the opportunity to head to one of my customer's houses last night for a small get together for the shop owners around Senoia.  I was so happy to have been invited by Allison to her amazing home!!!  And can I just say, it was ah-mazing.  You know those kinds of places where you kinda have to just stop for a minute when you walk in.  This was that kind of house.   Please know that pictures don't do it justice...

Getting In on the Action

When you're a shopkeeper, every now and then you find some REALLY amazing pieces.  But, those pieces usually end up going to the shop, where you find yourself drooling over your own finds, secretly hoping that no one lays a hand on it. 

I was talking to my friend Valerie about this, and she said that she used to do that, but realized that she wanted to have a great home just like her customers.  I had an "aha" moment.

I had just recently picked up another industrial cart after I had recently sold this one to a Greenhouse customer, Allison. 

I know...Amazing, right?

I had the cart all packed up and ready to go to Greenhouse headquarters until I found this at Scott's this weekend:

 

 

Shut. The Front. Door.

 

Are you ready to hear the price? $350.  I couldn't believe it.  The sofa that we had before was ten years old, and needless to say, it was definitely time for another one! It had seen its fair share of spit up, nose bleeds, dirt, jello, and grime.  It cleaned up real nice for the holidays,

 

 

but we all knew what was lurking underneath. Hence the sofa shawl.

I LOVE IT!!! Don't mind the circus tent chair (to be painted and reupholstered soon)...

Just goes to show that my customers and clients don't have to have all the fun!!! :)

It's Almost Time!!!

Hey guys!!!

Well it's almost time to ring in the new year!  But honestly, 2012 has been so good!!! I had all of these hopes and dreams at the end of 2011 that I couldn't wait to fulfill!!!

 I finally opened up my own little shop:

Met an amazing friend:

Got a new member of the Brantley clan:

 



Got to see my son become an amazing swimmer:

 

 

Got a new little somethin' somethin' to replace the crappy 10-year-old one:

 

 

 

 

Got the wonderful opportunity to help once again with decorating for an amazing cause to end domestic abuse and meet so many beautiful women who were also passionate for such a cause:

 





I even completed some amazing design projects!!!

 

 

 

Yes, 2012 has been an amazing year!!!  But I know that 2013 is going to be even better!!!
